Caring for Vintage Jewelry

Ever wonder what is the best way to clean your Vintage jewelry? After much research and some trial and error, I thought we could help you with a few tips!
1) MOISTURE is jewelry's enemy! Always remove jewelry when washing hands or doing any chores, especially vintage jewels.
2) If it does happen to get wet, pat it dry with a soft towel and BLOW DRY it, yes, blow dry it! On a COOL setting of course.
3) When using any commercial cleaner, read all instructions. Some cleaners are just for metals. If you have rhinestones, pearls or crystals, use the appropriate cleaner on a Q-tip. Dab it on sparingly. Rinse quickly with a Q-tip of clean water, then repeat Step #2.
4) If you find your jewelry has the dreaded "green funk" on it, separate it from your other items. You will need to work on those a few more times with a stronger formula. Using white vinegar is usually effective, but if you have to leave it to "sit", try Ketchup! Again, rinse & blow dry on a cool setting. Believe it or not, the green spots can be removed.

Spring has sprung!

Hope everyone had a great Easter! Now that it is officially the Spring season, we are looking forward to shedding the heavier clothes of colder weather. Isn't it great to start looking through all the warm weather things you have and plan how you are going to use them? Its also the best time to take stock of what you have, and what you will need going forward. Do you really need 5 pairs of black capri's? Time to mix it up with some COLOR! At least, thats what I'll be doing! Stop by and take a look at whats in store.

Weather gone Wild!

Can you believe this weather? In the high 70's in the Northeast in March! If you are like me, you are all wardrobe confused! I keep leaving the house with at least 3 layers on! Morning is cold, afternoon is warm, evening is cool. Its been really tough to pick out an outfit that can go all day! What are your tricks for staying comfortable on these crazy days? Let us know!

What a Week!

Oh! What a week of great stuff! It is really cool when the season is about to change, and our fabulous consignors start bringing it all in! Who knew the closets of all these great ladies held so many treasures? This week alone: 2 pairs of totally different leopard heels, rhinestone studded heels ( sold them today, sorry!) some espadrille style wedgies, and on and on! Sizes from 6.5-11 in the house, along with the perfect handbag to complete your outfit!

We are so lucky! This weeks' window is styled by the AWESOME Tina Perez! Not 20 minutes after she finished, things were selling right out from the window! Whoo-Hoo! Take a look! Can't wait to see what she will do next!
